Contemporary

Contemporary dance is perhaps best described as in between ballet and streetdance; a fluid, dynamic and creative modern dance style that appeals to both girls and boys. The class starts with warm ups and exercises that are based on Graham, Cunningham  and Release techniques as well as classical ballet to build a sound foundation of dance technique. We then use a termly theme and inspiration from dance styles from around the world to create travelling sequences and learn choreographed pieces to perform at the end of term.
